Sale of Torrumbarry Farms Aggregation

AFMH is pleased to announce that the Torrumbarry Farms aggregation has been presented for sale by LAWD, as an irrigated cropping and greenfield horticultural development opportunity.

Spanning 4,031 hectares, the aggregation supports institutional scale irrigated mixed farming underpinned by significant water entitlements, and is located adjacent to the Murray River at Torrumbarry in the well-regarded Loddon Mallee region of northern Victoria.

During its tenure of Torrumbarry Farms, AFMH has implemented extensive land class development to transform the aggregation, greatly enhancing production and maximising cropping efficiencies. Due to subsequent acquisitions, the aggregation is no longer critical to the growth plans of AFMH and hence the business is seeking to redeploy this capital in avenues more aligned with future strategic expansion.

The aggregation is presently utilised for the production of wheat, barley, canola, silage and fodder crops to support a dairy heifer raising platform. Future growth opportunities include potential for development to horticulture and high value cropping pursuits (permanent crops, viticulture and annual cropping).

Key investment highlights include 1,887 hectares developed to irrigation, 1,939 megalitres of high reliability water entitlements and 1,350 megalitres in on farm water storages. High quality structural improvements include machinery and hay shedding, grain silos and substantial residential infrastructure.

The property is for sale by Expression of Interest, closing at 12pm (AEST) Thursday 10 August 2023.
