Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge & Looking Forward to 2025
Anyone who has spent time in farming and agriculture knows about being uncomfortable and the need for grit and perseverance to get through tough times.
They also know how having a team of people to encourage you along the way, helps you face into the hard times and come out the other side stronger.
When we heard about Forbes local, Nedd Brockman’s Uncomfortable Challenge earlier this year, the team at AFMH were keen to get behind him and support his cause – working towards raising $10 million for ‘We are Mobilise’, a charity which helps people experiencing homelessness.
We are so impressed by Nedd’s drive, sacrificing his own comfort to highlight the challenges of those who may not be as fortunate in life.
It is exciting to see someone from our local area working hard to make a difference in the world and giving back to others.
‘We are Mobilise’ helps to deliver life-changing support for people facing homelessness, including helping people to get into housing, providing financial counselling, helping to cover mental health bills, and providing outreach to people sleeping rough.
For AFMH, getting onboard to contribute towards Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge was an opportunity to share some community support for people experiencing tough times.
Some of the lessons from Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge that we can take forward into 2025 are:
- People from the country are doing some incredible things to make the world a better place.
- Ordinary people can do extraordinary things.
- You don’t need to do it alone – let’s continue to support each other in 2025!
